EXPLORE : BRECON BEACONS IN AUTUMN
On this photography workshop we will be visiting one of Wales' three national parks; the stunning Brecon Beacons. Timing our visit in autumn should hopefully reward us with some great seasonal colour, impressive light and fingers crossed, the elusive 'Dragon's Breath' - characteristic early morning mist filled valleys.
Making the most of the spectacular scenery on offer, our main focus will be at key locations around the centre of the national park which includes a visit to 'Waterfall Country' and it's fantastic array of waterfalls. Drew will be keeping a keen eye on the weather too, so we'll be in the best location to capitalise on any conditions. Group size is limited to four so everyone should have plenty of space to explore each location and the photographic opportunities on hand.
From beginner to professional, tuition will be tailored solely to suit each guest's needs and aspects they wish to improve upon. Drew will be on hand to provide instruction and feedback at all times helping to improve your landscape photography and understanding your camera.
Transport between locations is included.
This workshop includes two nights accommodation at the Manor Hotel, in Crickhowell, this three star hotel is a nicely situated base throughout the workshop. Rooms are equipped with an en suite bathroom with free toiletries and breakfast. For more information on the accommodation please visit The Manor Hotel website here.
We'll aim to meet on the Wednesday afternoon before heading out for a sunset shoot. Then for Thursday & Friday we'll go out for sunrise before returning for breakfast and freshen up, before heading out for the day, shooting up until sunset.
While the locations won't be too far from the car, you'll still be required to carry all kit yourself and across uneven ground / mud / rocks so a good level of fitness is required. As the Brecon Beacons is a mountainous region, many of our walks will include uphill hikes, some steep in places, so please be prepared for this, though, the best views are always from the top!
