This little Sedge Warbler greeted us with his song on route to the farm, giving us some great close up views. Headed onto the walls behind the farm we scanned around looking for the Little Owl, after about twenty minutes we’d seen nothing so decided to change position and doing this we spotted a collection of people with binoculars and cameras near the next path. Looking through the bins we could see an owlet sitting on the wall in the distance, so we hot footed it down to this location. There were a few Little Owls and young hanging around this part and weren’t perturbed by our presence, getting some great views in the rain.
After the Little Owls we headed down to the Wick (main Puffin area) in the rainstorm. Having spent a lot of time watching the Little Owls we didn’t have much time before getting back for the boat so only grabbed a few shots.
Back waiting for the boat will always give views of some more bird life, this time it was some lovely Oystercatchers
Always a great visit going over to Skomer so definitely worth a trip!
