My Autumnal image was Highly Commended in the Wild Woods category of the competition.
Being out in Autumn, it’s hard not to fall in love with the natural wonder that’s going on all around you. Here, stunning amber foliage carpeted the riverbanks encompassing the whole scene in an extremely vivid colour tapestry. Capturing the sheer beauty of this magical season, in an almost timeless British image was my upmost aim.
Looking forward to attending the Awards in London and exhibition which kicks off the tour around the UK for the next year featuring all of the winning images. It’ll also be featured in the annual book ‘British Wildlife Photography Awards: Collection 3’ which I can’t wait to get my hands on.
You can see the all of the images at the Mall Galleries in London from 17th to 22nd September 2012.
Which will then tour the country in a nation wide exhibition :
Nature in Art ,Gloucester. 9th October – 25th November, 2012 Nunnington Hall, Yorkshire. 3rd November – 16th December 2012 Moors Valley Country Park, Dorset. 2nd February – 17th March, 2013 Stockwood Discovery Centre, Museums Luton, Bedfordshire. 19th January – 30th March 2013 Penryhn Castle, North Wales.
