2018 // THE REVIEW
Well, what can I say it’s been another great year! Now into my ninth year as a full time professional photographer, it’s definitely been the most varied and fun one.
Right from the word go on 1st of January I was out shooting for commercial clients and local businesses. Throughout the year was a real mix of personal work and commissions.
It’s going to be a hard year to beat with the birth of my darling daughter in January and also my biggest and best book project yet, ‘Photographing South Wales’ being released to overwhelming support in September.
Other highlights were starting to work with the BBC Natural History Unit as a timelapse photographer for an upcoming programme • My busiest season yet running workshops on Skomer Island over the summer • Various landscape workshops touring around Pembrokeshire • Magazine articles written with images featured • Official photographer again for the Pembs County Show • RSPB & National Trust photo shoots • Travelling around the country on commissions for national parks and organisations, and many, many more.
A totally epic year – I love my job! Thanks to everyone who made it a memorable year.
I’ll leave you with a gallery below, featuring a real mixture of shots from the 327,000 images taken from 2018.
2019 is already shaping up to be even more varied and exciting, lots of things planned, new workshops and some more books which I’ll be announcing soon. See you in the new year!
